Description:
Del.icio.us is a FREE online service that allows you to quickly organize bookmarks to various websites. Tagging allows you to easily create your own system for organizing and sharing sites you find.

  • Click here to watch a quick What is Del.icio.us video.

How Tos

  • Click here to watch a quick video on setting up a Del.icio.us account.
  • Click here to watch a quick video on creating a link library.

Best Practices
  • click here to read the article "Using del.icio.us in Education"
  • I've used Del.icio.us to create link libraries for my staff. I create a direct link to the tags related to the groups that need the info. This allows me to constantly update the library without adding links to multiple sites.

  • Subject Area - searching for subject specific content would be easier to find.
  • Date of Post - For articles and blog postings, this might be a nice feature when searching for up-to-date material.
  • Publisher - We tend to follow certain individuals and it is always nice to see the people related to the work.
  • Type of source - This can in turn be extended to a subcategory. Click here to add to the list of types of sources.
